Deadline 28 Feb 2021 11:59 PM (-05)
Description

Designed to bring a greater focus to Dart’s community development efforts, Dart Grants is a programme of fixed grants to help well-run, registered non-profit organisations make an even bigger positive impact.

Each year, Dart’s goal is to award up to 9 grants, for amounts of CI$25,000 and CI$50,000 to fund programmes and projects in the following areas:

EDUCATION: Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values and habits. We believe access to quality educational opportunities and experiences allows individuals and the wider community to learn, grow and lead more productive lives. Education underpins a sustainable economy and enhances the social quality of our islands. Applications in this category are invited for programmes and projects which serve both school age students and adults in the areas of academic, technical, vocational, arts and culture learning.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT: We recognise the importance of ensuring our young people are prepared to meet the various challenges of adolescence and adulthood, and become productive members of our society. Applications in this category are invited for programmes and projects that focus on the development of social, ethical, emotional, physical, and cognitive competencies in young people.

ENVIRONMENT: The quality of the environment, both the natural and built, is fundamental to the social and economic vitality of the Cayman Islands. Balancing the responsible use of natural resources, the built environment and their long-term vitality is essential to our sustainable development. Applications in this category are invited for programmes and projects that protect, preserve or enhance our natural shared resources such as land, air, water, flora and fauna, and similarly, for programmes and projects which preserve, protect or enhance the shared built environment, such as community parks, historic buildings, recreational facilities and public spaces.

Dart Grants are awarded annually and applications are accepted in the month of February. Successful grant recipients will be announced in April.
